Sorry, I haven't disappeared

Sorry, I haven't disappeared!  I have been extremely busy lately with a number of projects:
  • Bringing in the harvest - you'll see from some of my older posts that I have a fairly productive garden and like to can jams, salsa, and fruit.  It hasn't been quite as busy this year because a lot of my garden has been eaten by this:
Yes, that would be an enormous buck that my husband shot (with the camera) that makes a salad bar of my garden.  I am not a violent person, but I am having very violent thoughts towards this deer...
  • I taught my first Cricut class last week at Joann - you wouldn't think that would require a lot of preparation since I love my Cricut and am fairly savvy, but it did.  And it was preparation that didn't require a lot of crafting, unfortunately.
  • And to top it all off, I had a near death experience last week!  I went for my weekly allergy shots, only to end up in anaphylaxis, needing epinephrine and a visit from the paramedic.  Great fun!
I need to get crafting again though, so there will be some new creative posts soon.  I promise!

September 11th Challenge - My Pink Stamper

OK, so I know it's not September 11th anymore, but here is my submission for the My Pink Stamper September 11th Challenge.

Trick or Treat!

This is what I made to work on while attending a Joann open house on Saturday.  I was able to tell people about my upcoming classes and hopefully get them excited about using their Cricut!  The images are from the Mini Monsters cartridge, and the paper from DCWV and American Crafts.

And here is a layout that my 11 year old daughter made.  Isn't it good?  I am so impressed!

PKS Challenge 36

I have been really busy lately!  I am happy to report that the reason I have been so busy is I am going to start teaching Cricut classes at my local Joann.  It's exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time.  But I did have a little time to work on a challenge this week.  The Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge for this week is:

It's kind of a fun color combination!

Here's what I made:

Better late than never...

This is probably a little backwards considering that I just posted a Halloween project.  I made this card with the intent of participating in the "Winter Card" challenge at My Pink Stamper, but I didn't get it done before the deadline this morning.  I think it turned out so cute!  I used the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge for the snowman and "Frosty".  The snowflake and the embossing are both from Cuttlebug.

Critter Sketch Challenge Blog #29 - Think Fall

My attempt to think "outside of the box" with this challenge has apparently failed spectacularly, because...

My project is IN a box, a shadow box to be exact.

When I saw that the challenge was to "Think Fall" I immediately thought of Halloween.  I love this time of year for the cooler weather it brings, fresh apples, good memories, and of coarse the spookiest holiday of them all!

I made this using the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge.  The "Happy Halloween" was applied using purple vinyl.
