More My Pink Stamper New Release!

I'm taking a minute to sit down and blog one more time before moving day.  Ack - I really hate packing.

Have you been enjoying this new release from My Pink Stamper?  One of the things that I am SO looking forward to about moving is my new craft space.  It's going to be so wonderful to have my own little space again - just in time to start producing for Christmas!

The set that I am featuring today is Lunchbox Thoughts:

Aren't they so fun?  I just love all the fun, tender, thoughtful sentiments that she has in this set.  Here are a couple of little "love notes" that I have made to stash in my daughters' lunches.

Stamps:  My Pink Stamper Lunchbox Thoughts
Cricut Cartridge:  Preserves - I used the Gypsy to enlarge the leaf in the lighter green
Paper:  AC Cardstock, Stampin Up
Embellishments:  Offray ribbon

Stamps:  My Pink Stamper Lunchbox Thoughts
Cricut Cartridge:  Simply Charmed - I used the hide contour feature on the Gypsy to remove the face
Paper:  AC Cardstock, Stampin Up
Embellishments:  Diamond Glaze

It may be a week or so before I post again with the move, but I promise I'll be back!  See you soon.

Applicious!

The beginning of autumn arrived with a bang at my house - with 80 degree weather and my oldest daughter and I having a cold.  Isn't that just so wrong!?  No matter, I celebrated the start of my favorite time of the year by creating a card that incorporates some of my favorites things - apples, and the color red.

This is also the time of year that I start to think about which cards I would like to give in the assortment that I give as Christmas gifts.  I think this one's a keeper!  ;-)

Stamp:  My Pink Stamper Everyday Life (also a favorite)
Cricut Cartridge:  Preserves
Paper:  AC Cardstock, Craft Brown cardstock from Roberts Crafts, American Crafts Apple Cider line
Embellishments:  Lace ribbon from Hobby Lobby, assorted buttons tied with linen thread, Close to Cocoa stamp pad for stamping and sponging

Happy Fall Y'all!

NSD Challenge #8 - Summer!

** Giveaway info here  **
I'm getting there - really I am!  I think all the challenges at My Pink Stamper for this year's National Scrapbook Day celebration were just fabulous and I want to do them all, but a few things have been getting in my way.  My girls had auditions with our local community theater for a few hours on Saturday, and then yesterday was Mother's Day of coarse, and then on top of it all I am having a major allergy attack!  I love spring, but spring does not love me!  LOL!

I am so excited to show you my first card using Peachy Keen Stamps!  I have been wanting some of the Peachy Keen face stamps for over a year now, and so I when I got some money for my birthday I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  You could say that this is a card of favorites:  my favorite color (red), my favorite paper company (Doodlebug Design), my favorite stamps (My Pink Stamper), and my favorite new toy (Peachy Keen Face stamps).

Stamps:  My Pink Stamper Fruit & Veggie Puns, Peachy Keen Stamps Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment
Cricut Cartridge:  Preserves
Paper:  Doodlebug Design, AC Cardstock
Edge Punch:  Martha Stewart Scallop Dot
Embellishments:  Doodlebug Design (cherries brad), American Crafts (ribbon)

My Pink Design Team - March!

Welcome!  Are you feeling scrappy?  I hope so because this month my fellow My Pink Design Team members and I have all done some scrapbooking for your inspiration and viewing pleasure!  I'm happy to say that I may have found the secret for me to even do scrapbooking - make the layouts in advance!  I know this isn't a new idea necessarily, but it's new for me!  I was an avid scrapbooker for the first two years of my oldest daughter's life - then #2 was born, and well, it just hasn't happened since...

Guess where I'm going next week?  You guessed it  - Hawaii!  I'm so excited because I've never been there before, and because it means precious alone time with my husband.  And what makes it even better is I'm being paid to go!  Definitely something to scrap about.  I just hope that I don't end up journaling the time that I caused a car accident with the glare from my lily white skin, or the wonderful cold that I caught while there (that's an Andrea classic!).

Cricut Cartridges:  Preserves (pineapple & pineapple rings), Country Life (font)
Stamps:  My Pink Stamper Love-Alicious
Paper:  DCWV (Citrus Stack), AC Cardstock, Provo Craft
Edge Punch:  Martha Stewart Arch Lattice
Embellishments:  DCWV (buttons), pearls (Recollections), misc gems, Offray (ribbon)

Don't  forget to head back over to My Pink Stamper to check out the beautiful work from all my fellow designers.  Have a great day!

Super Yummy Challenge!

For this week's Imagine Pink Wednesday post at My Pink Stamper Robyn used her Cricut Imagine to make the most adorable card!  She also gave us a sneak peek of one of her stamp sets that is being released Saturday at CHA.  It looks like another great one!

Can I just say, I want to go to CHA so badly!  I am trying to talk my sister, who is an avid quilter, into going to the summer CHA in Chicago with me.  She asked me, "So, will there be quilting stuff there?"  Sure!  There will be quilting stuff there - that's a crafty hobby, right?  As it happens, it appears that CHA is very much dominated by the papercrafting industry.  Anybody who has been lucky enough to attend and can give me details about the types of exhibitors, will be greatly appreciated.  I would just love to be able to see all the new products being released, up close and personal.

The challenge that Robyn issued was to create a project (with your Imagine, if you have one) that's YUMMY!

Cricut Cartridge:  Preserves
Stamps:  My Pink Stamper Fruit & Veggie Puns
Paper:  Best Creation, Stampin Up, DCWV
Ink:  Stampin Up

My favorites

As you may have noticed from previous posts, I LOVE this time of year - and for so many reasons!  I love the cooler weather, I love the leaves changing colors, I love having a reason to snuggle under a blanket by the fire with a good book, I love making hearty soups to feed my family.  The list goes on and on.

Two of my favorites are featured in this card:  the color red, and apples!  The apple is from the Preserves cartridge, and I have also used two Cuttlebug folders:  Script Texture, and Victoria.  The stamp is from the Stampendous Fresh Fruit set.

P.S. - I don't know how it escaped my attention, but there are 3 MORE seasonal Cricut cartridges that were released recently:  Winter Lace, Trim the Tree, and Gingerbread.  They are beautiful!  I especially love Trim the Tree.  Check them out!

MPS Color Challenge - pink, brown, orange, and green

The argyle pattern is from Wild Card, and the orange is from Preserves.  The stamp is from Stampendous.  I'm happy with how it turned out!

Wow, what a milestone!  I've reached the 1000 visits mark since I started a counter a couple of months ago.  Thank you for looking at my blog!

There is a lot of domesticity going on at my house at the moment.  The children are out of school, DH is done traveling for a little while, and we are finally starting to see some summer weather here.  I think I could spend a month in my yard and there would still be work to be done!  I love veggie gardening, in fact, we planted our garden on Memorial Day and we are already seeing sprouts!  It's so fun to take the children out into the yard and see their excitement when they see the seeds that they planted starting to pop out of the ground.

I also made soap last week.  I learned how to make soap a few years ago for my mother-in-law so she could have fragrance free soap.  I don't get to make it very often because it's not a very kid-friendly process and I only like to do it when I won't have children underfoot, which is pretty much never.  I'll post separately about the soap later this week.

I have also had some craft room time, miraculously!  It was time to pay the piano teacher again (she let's me pay her in cards, bless her heart) so I have been creating to my heart's content.  It's just a sacrifice that I make...  ;-)

I have finally been able to spend some quality time with my Preserves cartridge that I was so excited about getting.

MPS NSD Challenge #4 - I Like You the Least

OK, so I skipped one.  You'll see why below.

I have a color in my collection that I don't know why I bought it.  Actually, I do.  It was while I was still demonstrating for SU and I was trying to expand my repertoire and appeal to more of my customers' tastes.  You will find that most of my projects involve "cool" colors - those are the colors I wear, those are the colors I like to work with.  I have a really hard time with "warm" tones.  I do use them occasionally, as you will see in my Challenge #1 post below.  It's a stretch for me though.  And this Old Olive color I really struggle with.  I just don't like it, and I can't believe that it is one of the colors that SU chose to keep with this big color re-org they just did.  Mind you, when I got the Preserves cartridge and saw the grapes, I immediately though of putting Old Olive and purple together.

And here is what has been happening while I've been working on these challenges:

My poor little boy is getting tortured by his sisters!

**Oops- So I guess I misunderstood that one.  I could have sworn there was a "least favorite color" option.  Oh well, Preserves is probably my least used cartridge right now too.  It's still pretty new, and although I was uber excited when it was released, I haven't used it as much as I thought I would.  I'll probably use it more during harvest season when I'm canning.

Happy National Scrapbook Day! MPS Challenge #1

In celebration of National Scrapbook Day I am participating in the challenges that Robyn at My Pink Stamper will be posting throughout the day.  How many I complete is left to be seen.  Considering how long it took me to do the first one, it may not be many!

Here's my card for Challenge #1

I love My Pink Stamper Challenges!  This may sound really strange to some people, but as much as I love papercrafting I can't just sit down at my desk and tinker.  I don't exactly know why - I just know that it's far too easy for me to think of all the other things that I should be doing.  I need to have some kind of motivation or inspiration, and challenges do the trick!  Today's challenge is to make a project using black, pink and green.  And I was finally able to use my new cartridge Preserves.  Here are my projects:
