I'm so excited to share with you that I am now on the Design Team for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog! I'm just so tickled! As many of you know, I love a challenge and I have been participating in their weekly challenges for a while now. I find both the challenges and the artwork of the design team very inspiring, and often just what I need to get motivated to do some creating of my own.
To those of you who have been followers for a while, thank you for your kind comments. To those who are new here, welcome! I hope you will find some inspiration and enjoy crafting along with me.

My favorites
As you may have noticed from previous posts, I LOVE this time of year - and for so many reasons! I love the cooler weather, I love the leaves changing colors, I love having a reason to snuggle under a blanket by the fire with a good book, I love making hearty soups to feed my family. The list goes on and on.
Two of my favorites are featured in this card: the color red, and apples! The apple is from the Preserves cartridge, and I have also used two Cuttlebug folders: Script Texture, and Victoria. The stamp is from the Stampendous Fresh Fruit set.
P.S. - I don't know how it escaped my attention, but there are 3 MORE seasonal Cricut cartridges that were released recently: Winter Lace, Trim the Tree, and Gingerbread. They are beautiful! I especially love Trim the Tree. Check them out!

Think Pink!
Among many other brave women in the world, two of our sisters in the online scrapping/crafting community are battling breast cancer. If you would like to support these two individuals in their fight, you can find more information here. Here are the cards that I have made.

MPS Color Challenge
Purple, green and pink! If you would like to join in, you can find the My Pink Stamper color challenge here. This little mushroom comes from the Simply Charmed cartridge, and the paper is from DCWV Nana's Kids stack.
And here are my daughter's creations for the challenge!

Halloween layout
So...I made with this with the intent of participating in the Cuttlebug Spot challenge this week, and then after all was said and done I realized that I didn't use my Cuttlebug, at all, to make this. Ooops! Oh well...
Phew, this one turned out bright!

Kids Crafts!
Twice a month I have a group of 8-9 year old girls over for an activity and I thought we would decorate trick-or-treating bags this time. So I went to my local Xpedx and found some great plain, but sturdy, plastic bags. I would have liked to have done all the decorating with vinyl, but that would have been a little too complicated for the girls. So we decorated with paper, vinyl, and permanent markers. The girls had fun, and I think they turned out pretty well. I used my Mini Monsters cartridge for the large spiders, pumpkins, and cauldrons. The little spiders, bats, and "boo" came from the Wild Card cartridge - those were done in vinyl.

Falling Leaves
I just returned from the east and the most beautiful display of fall colors, where I attended a wedding in which the colors of autumn were featured. They were all an inspiration to me in creating this card. The leaves are from the Wild Card cartridge.

Back home
I'm home! I am very grateful to my sweet husband who welcomed me home to a very clean house. There was one exception however - my crafting space was a mess! That was partially because I left it in a bit of a mess when I left, but also because my girls had some fun in there while I was gone. So, a little time to regroup and I'll be creating again soon.

FCCB Challenge #30 - Baking!
I LOVE to bake! I was so excited when I saw that this was the theme for this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. My first thought was to make something using the Sweet Treats cartridge, which is one of my favorites. But then I remembered this vase that I was going to make for an upcoming class at Joann. I was asked to make this to go along with a Wilton Cookie Bouquet class that they will be doing around Christmastime. I am so happy with how it turned out! I am really starting to learn the joys of using vinyl - SO EASY!
The peppermint border comes from the Winter Frolic cartridge.

MPS Spooky Challenge
I am so excited to be participating in a My Pink Stamper Challenge! There have been a few that I have missed lately, and I love Halloween so I really enjoyed this one. You can view and participate in the challenge here.
And, she's back...
After a very long, but necessary absence I am happy to be creating again! Did you miss me?
Although it feels little like autumn around here (high of 88 today - crazy!), I look forward to the time when it will feel more like autumn since this is my favorite time of year. I'm also excited because I finally got to try my new Cricut cartridge called Simply Charmed. As you can see, sometimes those little faces that this cartridge has in it don't work very well in practice. I also apparently needed to adjust the height of my blade.
