My Pink Stamper Design Team Post - May

Welcome!  Thanks for joining me today for the My Pink Stamper Design Team Post for May.  Me and my fellow designers are having a blast playing with Robyn's new line of image stamps, and today we are featuring Girlie Doodles, and Girlie Sayings:

And here's what I made:

So who knew, but the Paper Dolls cartridges work perfectly with the Girlie Doodles stamp set.  I cut this little girl at 4.5 inches, which was the perfect size to coordinate with the hat and the bag in the stamp set.  Imagine making a bunch of paper dolls, and then stamping a hats and purses that a little girl could color herself.  I think that would make a great gift!

Pinterest Success

Any other Pinterest addicts out there?  I don't know if I have quite reached addict stage yet (yet!) but I really enjoy checking out all the latest pins from my friends and family.  Who would have thought that a website that is just pictures could be so fun and so inspiring!  You have to be a little bit careful though, especially when it comes to trying recipes.  I once saw a pin for "edible glitter", that when you clicked through to the original website, it was actually a recipe for non-toxic glitter - made from salt!  Ack!

I have had a few success stories though.  Most recently I tried this:

What is refrigerator oatmeal?  Personally, I would call this more of a muesli.  The end result is YUM-E!  I have three growing children, two of which are tween girls that are eating me out of house and home.  We've kind of been a cold cereal family.  I grew up eating cold cereal, I like cold cereal, my family likes cold cereal, and cold cereal (if you get the good stuff) can be fairly healthy.  It's darned expensive though, especially when your family is eating two bowls of the stuff.  These really are as yummy as they look, and fairly inexpensive to make - especially if you make your own yogurt, which I do.  The only suggestion that I would make, is if you try the Banana Cocoa version, I would use (maybe) 1 tsp of cocoa instead of the 1 tbsp.  I think my favorite is the blueberry maple.  My family likes them too.  Well, except for maybe my husband.  He thinks I'm trying to kill him when I make anything healthy for him.  I think the chia seeds were a little too much for him to think about...

My Pink Stamper NSD Designer’s Choice Blop Hop **GIVEAWAY**

**Giveaway Closed**

Happy National Scrapbook Day!  I'm so glad that you have decided to celebrate the My Pink Stamper way and have joined us for our Designer's Choice Hop.  If you arrived here from Edna's blog (Create with Expression) then you're in the right place.  If you arrived here on your own, I invite you to hop over to My Pink Stamper so you can start at the beginning and see all the wonderful designers' projects.

Isn't it amazing that we have a day just to celebrate preserving memories?  Scrapbooking really is the perfect combination of creativity and history, and I don't do enough of it.  The stamp set that I have chosen to showcase today is That's Punnylicious:

I LOVE all of Robyn's Punnylicious line.  They're so fun!  The occasion that I chose to scrapbook for today isn't exactly a wonderful memory, but an endearing one, and something that should be documented nonetheless.  My son broke his arm last weekend on the play set in our backyard, poor kid!  Later while we were sitting snuggling he told me that he was trying to be Indiana Jones.  He had flicked his whip up over the top of the play set, thinking that it would wind around something so he could pull himself up.  It didn't quite work that way, poor little guy.  I couldn't help but smile when he told me.  I don't love that he got hurt, but I do love his very vivid imagination.  He's such a character and I wouldn't have him any other way.

Stamp:  My Pink Stamper That's Punnylicious
Cuts:  Cricut Create a Critter (monkey, vine, bananas), Plantin Schoolbook (scallop border, grass), Silhouette Playground
Paper:  Making Memories (stripes), AC Cardstock, Stampin Up
Embellishments:  assorted buttons, linen thread

**GIVEAWAY**- Leave a comment for a chance to win your very own That's Punnylicious stamp set!  Thank you My Pink Stamper for your very generous donation.  Don't forget to include your email address so I have a way to contact you.  I will choose a winner on Wednesday, May 9th.

Thanks for stopping by.  The next stop on the hop is Chelle's blog (Paper Krate).  I have also included the entire hop order below.  Have fun hopping, and have even more fun celebrating National Scrapbook Day.  I hope your day is a creative one!

More My Pink Stamper New Release

Today I am featuring Girlie Sayings:

Robyn always come up with the cutest "play on words" sentiments.

I decided that I needed to stretch my creativity a little with the palette I chose for this card.  I tend to shy away from the warmer tones.  And quite frankly, it's a challenge to try and make this many colors work together.  Did I succeed?  I'm not sure.  :-)  The papers and colors for this card are all from American Crafts, specifically from their "Love" line.  I think it has kind of an eclectic vintage look to it, which I thought was perfect for the hat and the sentiment.

Stamp:  My Pink Stamper Girlie Sayings
Cricut Cartridges:  Kate's ABC's (hat), Sweet Treats (scallop), Plantin Schoolbook (circle)
Paper:  American Crafts (Love line)
Embellishments:  DCWV (buttons), Martha Stewart (pearl), baker's twine

If you haven't already, be sure to head over to My Pink Stamper so you can check out the whole new release.  And in more fun news - My Pink Stamper stamps now come in an exclusive pink photopolymer.
