My Pink Stamper Design Team - April

Welcome!  I'm so glad that you have joined me today for the My Pink Stamper Design Team project for the month of April.  The theme for this month is Teacher Gifts.  It's that time of the year - the school year is starting to wind down, the kids have spring fever, and both teachers and kids are dreaming of summer vacation.  Do you have a special teacher in your life?  Maybe you are a teacher!  If you are, my hat is off to you.  My children have all had wonderful teachers this year, and I'm grateful for all of their hard work.  So of course, the very least I can do is make a little something special to say thank you.

The My Pink Stamper stamp set that I am featuring is School Days:

I continue to experiment with my Silhouette SD.  Last week's find was this beautiful tulip.  I love tulips!  They're my favorite flower.

I used a baby food jar for the vase.  Inside is a foam ball, the type you get from the floral department for arrangements.  Each of the blossoms is glued to a dowel that was painted green.  I used the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge for some of the grass - the long pieces were cut free-hand.  And these flowers won't wither and die!

Stamp:  My Pink Stamper School Days
Silhouette cut: 3D Tulip
Cricut Cartridge:  Plantin Schoolbook
Paper:  Pebbles Inc (Ever After line), AC Cardstock, Stampin' Up!
Border Punch:  Martha Stewart
Accessories:  American Crafts (ribbon), wood dowel, floral foam ball, baby food jar

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you haven't already, be sure to swing over to My Pink Stamper so you can see all the wonderful projects my fellow designers have made.  Have a great day!

Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday!

Welcome!  Thank you so much for joining me for Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday!  If you have arrived here from Alex's blog then you're in the right place.  If you arrived here on your own tonight, I invite you to head over to My Pink Stamper so you can begin at the beginning and see all of the wonderful projects my fellow designers have made this tonight's hop.

The theme for tonight is Mother's Day - the perfect occasion to make a card.  Especially since I'm not able to spend Mother's Day with my mother { sniff }.  She's just too far away!  And honestly, I'm not always as good about getting the card in the mail as I should be...

The My Pink Stamper set that I used for tonight is Happiest Moments:

Don't you just love the lacy doily in the background?  No, that was not purchased or pre-made.  That was made with my Silhouette SD.  I am so impressed with the quality of the cuts with this machine.  The frame is gorgeous, but it will take you about 3 days to punch out all the little bits - so be warned!  ;-)

My Pink Stamper Happy Birthday Hop!

I'm so glad that you have decided to join me tonight to celebrate birthdays - specifically Robyn's oldest daughter's birthday!  If you arrived here tonight on your own, feel free to hop over to My Pink Stamper so you can see all the wonderful projects in tonight's hop.  You will also be able to participate in My Pink Stamper LIVE starting at 10:00 pm central time.  Karlee is in town, and you know what those two are like when they get together.  If you don't know, then you've got to see it - they're so much fun!

For tonight's project I made a birthday card because you can never have too many of those.  I am featuring the My Pink Stamper set called Sweetest Cupcakes in honor of Robyn's daughter because I've heard she likes all things cupcake. (a girl after my own heart!)

I am also featuring my first project with a cut that I made using my Silhouette SD.  That cute little paper bow in the top left hand corner was made using their 3d ribbon bow by Alaa' K.  I LOVE IT!

I used the Cricut cartridge Once Upon a Princess.  The frame was made using my Gypsy.  I merged a tag from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge with a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes, and voila - instant frame!
