Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday!

Welcome to the first Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday of 2012 - and it's Friday the 13th on top of that!  Oooohhh!

Thanks for joining me today!  If you arrived here from Missy's blog, then you're in the right place.  If you arrived here on your own tonight and would like to begin at the beginning, hop on over to My Pink Stamper so you can see all the wonderful projects from the start.  The theme for this evening's hop is A Fresh Clean Start.  We were asked to make a project that would represent the fresh, clean start that a new year brings.  I almost immediately thought of making a journal.  A new year, a new diary.  Any other Bridget Jones fans out there?  ;-)

The My Pink Stamper set that I have chosen to showcase with this project is called Flowers and Friendship:

As some of you know, I moved towards the end of last year.  We didn't move very far away, but we still have new neighbors, a new church, and all the change and adjustment that goes along with that.  That is why I thought the stamp, "Bloom where you are planted" would be perfect for my journal - as a reminder to make the best of change and new opportunities.  The journal was made by embellishing a composition book, and I used the Cricut cartridge Kate's ABC's for the flower and the name plate.

Stamps:  My Pink Stamper Flowers and Friendship
Cricut Cartridge:  Kate's ABCs
Embossing:  Sizzix
Paper:  Pebbles Inc Twitterpated Collection, AC Cardstock, Stampin Up
Embellishments:  American Crafts (ribbon), DCWV (buttons), Diamond Glaze

I'm really glad that I had the opportunity to do this because it's the first time in weeks that I have sat down and spent some quality time with my My Pink Stamper stamps!  I went through every single set that I own and now my head is full of ideas and I'm ready to get crafting.  If you would like to see where you can purchase some stamps of your own, click here.

Thanks for stopping by!  Now it's time to hop along to Court's Crafts.  I have also included the entire blog hop order below for your convenience.  Have fun, and don't forget to return to My Pink Stamper at the end to join in a challenge and for a chance to win a prize!

I love the colors you used for your journal. It is hard to move even if it is a short distance. It is a great attitude to have. Wishing you a wonderful 2012.

Andrea, this turned out so pretty AND you chose the perfect stamp sentiment. My dh & I are getting ready to put our house on the market and we hope to move only 15-45 minutes away, but the change is still both exciting and unsettling. No doubt you will bloom where you are planted, Andrea. May you attract new friends that are every bit as sweet as you.

Love your journal!! I was just thinking today about making a journal with embossing, but the Cuttlebug isn't big enough for the whole front - thanks for the inspiration to finish my vision!!

I love this project. I did this last year with my school notebooks. The nice looking notebooks are so expensive, this is a wonderful way to save money and not style!
